Jennifer shares...

Jonathan and Megan chose to have an intimate wedding, which included their families and two best friends. This event was filled with personal touches from their family members, as well as personal touches that they decided on throughout the ceremony which they had never seen or done before! I love how this entire wedding was completely about love, and spending this special day relaxed and celebrating not only the people they love, but the things they love in their lives.

This is their story...

"Jonathan and I fell in love over coffee and exploring nature together. Naturally when we were looking for a wedding venue we wanted somewhere tucked away into nature with an elegance. Once we found the venue, the San Ysidro Ranch, and picked a date everything easily fell into place. We chose to have an intimate ceremony for two reasons. We wanted to share our wedding day with those that we know will be there to support and love us throughout our entire marriage and we wanted to be able to enjoy the day to the fullest. Our closest friends and family joined us, with our young niece giving the first scripture to start the ceremony, and our nephew being the "ring bear-er". This day was about us joining our lives together with Christ as the focus. A favorite moment of the ceremony was washing of each other feet. Neither of us had ever seen this incorporated into a wedding ceremony and so we weren’t sure how it would go. It was a humbling moment to be able to begin our marriage with an act of serving one another. The venue was full of natural beauty and so it didn’t take much effort to incorporate a few decorative elements. My vision was elegant, earthy, and bohemian. A close friend of ours who is also an interior designer, Howe Creative Design, helped to design and arrange the extra decor. It was wonderful knowing that I could trust that her natural flare for decor would be very pleasing to the eye. Some decorative elements that I enjoyed the most were the blanket that I knitted myself, the table place stones which I collected on the beach and hand labeled, and the jars with twigs and floating candles. It was a beautiful day and I wish that I could live it over and over."
